Oriel Design Ltd was originally established as a Partnership in 1989 by Steve and a partner, both registered Architects. It was later incorporated as a limited company in 2003.
Presently, 75% of the practice’s workload is repeat business. Amongst its public clients who have been commissioning works since the formation of the practice are: Dyfed Powys Police Authority, South Wales Police Authority, the University of Glamorgan and the Welsh Assembly Government (formerly the Welsh Development Agency).

Oriel has carried out work for individual clients, public and private bodies. All projects are managed by one of the directors from inception through to completion so as to ensure client satisfaction and excellence in design.

Lanyon House
A four storey, office block development, for private clients, at Mission Court, George Street, Newport
Trevethin Shopping Centre
Invited by Bron Afon to make presentations to a commissioning team, Oriel Architects were chosen by the local community to renew the shopping centre area of Trevethin.
The practice is fully committed to the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and all work is produced through this medium, allowing for designs and drawings to be distributed electronically.
Oriel Architects of Cardiff are committed to continuing professional development, and regularly attend seminars and presentations in order to maintain good practice and for awareness of developments within the construction industry.
